As exotic fruits

Each time, walking between store shelves, we look at and read with interest and read the names of outlandish fruits and berries. And rarely, who decides to buy and try an exotic fruit, because at first glance, their appearance does not cause the desire to eat them- they can be with thorns, “hairy”, very small in size or unattractive color. In fact, many of the fruits unknown to us are very useful. How to properly eat exotic fruits?

Most often, fruits unknown to our country are brought from Southeast Asia.  Appetizing fruits are very juicy and sweet, but they have one minus, they can cause allergies. Therefore, all new tropical fruits for your body need to eat small pieces and wait 24 hours to manifest an allergic reaction. If it has not come, you can start tasting other exotic fruits. Here are examples of some exotic fruits, how they look and how they need to be eaten correctly:

Rambutan. Perhaps the most unusual and funny tropical fruit. He attracts attention with his appearance, very similar to a sea hedgehog.  Rambutan fruits the size of a walnut, and grow on trees clusters. Its skin is bright red and very hairy, but, despite such a menacing look, Rambutan does not prickly prickly. Inside the fetus is very tasty and juicy white pulp with a bone (it is edible, but tasteless).

Rambutan can be cut in 2 ways: either open the fruit with a sharp twisting, in which the skin bursts and is easily separated from the pulp, or use the knife- make an incision in the central part and remove the formed “hat”.

Lychi (Chinese plum) a very useful tropical fruit. Lychi is a round red fruit up to 4 cm in diameter. It is rich in vitamin C, calcium, iron, mineral salts and phosphorus. Lich’s fruits are easily cleaned from the peel. The fruit has juicy white pulp, sometimes with sourness.  Lichs eat only the pulp (the bone is not edible and it can be thrown away).

As exotic fruits

Mature fruits can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, and in the freezer, the purified fruits are stored for up to three months.

Mangoustin is a dark violet fruits. The size of the fetus is medium, the size of an apple. Externally, the fruit is unattractive, has a thick peel, but under it is unusually tasty, sweet-acidic pulp. From the inside, the fruit is similar to garlic slices. Most often mangustine without bones, but if they come across, then very small and edible.

Durian is called the king of fruits. Its fruits reach up to 8 kilograms. And the appearance and its smell, Durian pushes away from himself all those who want him to try it. Thorny green fruit with a disgusting smell is famous for the whole world. Only a few exotic lovers decide to try this fruit. And only in the homeland of Durian, in Malaysia, this fruit loves and prepare desserts from it.

As exotic fruits

If you decide to try Durian, then cut the fetus with a knife, separate the yellow pulp from the peel and cut it into pieces.

Marakuya – small fruits of yellow or purple color. The fruits of this exotic fruit have an amazing aroma and taste with a small acidic. The juicy pulp of Marakui is all in soft seeds that are edible. To eat maracuya, you need to cut it in half and eat the pulp with a spoon. Also, this fruit is very often added to desserts or dairy products- ice cream, yogurts, etc.D.

Nod (horned melon). The fruits of the nod are growing and ripening on the vine (mainly in Africa and New Zealand). Outwardly the fruit resembles a melon- in an oblong form and yellow, orange color. In the section, the nod looks like a large cucumber, green pulp, reminiscent of the taste of cucumber, melon and banana. They eat nasty like an ordinary melon- they do not clean the fetus, but cut into pieces and eat the pulp. The fruits of nod can eat in mature and immature form (along with bones), many exotic lovers add salt.

Whatever exotic country you go, remember, any new tropical fruit must be tried a few days after arrival. Eat exotic fruits with caution, having learned in advance information about them from local residents.
